"Cathedral of the Plains" Centennial Items

This calendar was designed as a 3-year calendar in honor of the centennial of the building of the current church. It encompasses the months of November 2008 through December 2011 and is a nice commemorative souvenir as well as a workable calendar that lists holidays, saints days, and upcoming centennial celebration events. The grand centennial celebration for the "Dedication of the Cathedral of the Plains" will be held on August 28, 2011.
Cost: $10.00 + $5.00 postage and handling. TOTAL: $15.00

"A Century of Faith" Music CD

|
This music CD consists of 24 traditional hymns sung by our local St. Fidelis choirs or local singing groups: Adult Choir, Jubilee Choir, Youth Choir, Trilogy, and The Nostalgics. Also included is a song by the Friars of the Capuchin Province of Mid America, "The Ultima". Other songs include "Faith of Our Fathers", "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", and German songs "Maria dick lieben", "Du Liebst mir in hertzen", "Grabe Lied", and more.
Cost: $10.00 + $3.00 postage and handling. TOTAL: $13.00

This DVD was created by the Technolgy Class of Victoria High School. It gives a history of the building of "The Cathedral of the Plains". Some songs from the "A Century of Faith" Music CD are used as background music.

Centennial
T-Shirts
|
|
Three different T-shirts were created in honor of "The Cathedral of the Plains" Centennial. One of the t-shirt designs displays the church with a cutout of Jesus Christ from one of the church's stain glass windows superimposed above it. The other two t-shirt designs are collages created using the winning entries in the Centennial Logo Contest held in Fall of 2007.
Cost: $12.00 + $5.00 postage and handling. TOTAL: $17.00

This paperweight was carved out of native limestone and displays a plaque commemorating the church's Centennial in 2011.

"Christmas in the Cathedral" music CD - A special CD recording of 20 Christmas songs performed by the adult and children choirs of St. Fidelis Church. The choir proudly pays tribute to its Volga German ancestry with selections in German, Latin, and English. These songs are usually performed by the children at Christmas Eve early Mass and by the adults at the annual Midnight Mass. The tolling of the Cathedral Bells and reverberation throughout the Cathedral provide a unique listening experience. [Cost: $15.00 + $3.00 postage. TOTAL: $18.00]
