Clowns for Jesus
The Clowns for Jesus are a rag-tag group of goofballs who enjoy getting together to spread fun...and the Gospel. They've done both secular and religioius events. The clowns' training has included both as well.
While Dip & Dot and JoJo are fairly new to clowning (2-3 years each), D.D. is a "veteran" of six years. They are all still learning and having fun along the way.
Some of their favorite things to do inlcude face painting and balloon creations. They also enjoy getting to use scripture in their skits and have developed a Clown Church program at their church on a bi-monthly (or so) basis.
In their "normal lives," Kendra (D.D.) is a teacher at Ellsworth Elementary School and is mom to Blake (Dot). Blake is going into sixth grade, along with Dip (Riann), her cousin. Janae (JoJo) will be a seventh grader this year. All three youngsters enjoy reading and theatrics.
Janae resides in Ellsworth, while the other three "clowns" live in Kanopolis.
Samples of the face painting done by the "Clowns for Jesus" artists are displayed in the photo at right.
