Altar Servers
"a great honor, a genuine holy service." - St. John Paul II
Altar Serving is for kids beginning in the 3rd grade to teenagers in the 9th grade. This is an opportunity to grow familiar with the liturgy and assist alongside Father during The Weeknd Masses and other special liturgies such as funerals, weddings, Eucharist Adoration & Exposition.
Altar Server training for the 2026 year will be posted soon.
The altar server holds a beautiful and ancient place in the sacred liturgy of the Church.Servers carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts, and wash the hands of the priest.Servers should be active and full participants in the celebration, expressing this by singing, praying, and keeping silence along with the rest of the assembly.
